On April 19, 2024, a five-member delegation led by Mr. Hong Wansik, President of TAFISA Korea, visited Yonghui Institute. They held in-depth discussions with the institute’s leadership team, including President Wang Bing and Co-Presidents Lu Yuanzhen and Li Xiaolin, on the development of sport for all in China and South Korea.

The exchange primarily focused on the development of sport for all programs. Hong Wansik shared South Korea’s vision and initiatives in areas such as Tai Chi, esports, and the intersection of sports with carbon neutrality, expressing a desire to conduct joint research with Yonghui Institute.

Lu Yuanzhen provided an overview of the historical origins of Tai Chi and its current development status in China. Li Xiaolin suggested that China and South Korea could collaborate on researching the mechanisms and theories through which sports activities contribute to carbon emission reduction. Wang Bing introduced the institute’s ongoing cooperative projects and research initiatives and expressed eagerness to pursue joint studies with TAFISA Korea in the field of Tai Chi development.

Following the productive discussions, both parties agreed to establish a communication mechanism and conduct regular online and offline collaborations in the future.
